STEAMobile's alpha LEGO building bus was born during the 2020 pandemic when the need for after-school enrichment classes in the outdoors became in high-demand to help keep classes going. It was during this time that the bus's owner Dilettante Extraordinaire's (Bricks4Kidz Redmond) lead coach was in discovery for partnering with local High School robotics clubs when she was approached by 2 Sophomore Apprentices with interest in starting up a woman founded maker space based on the alpha bus concept. Together, over weekly mentor-apprentice meetings over the span of a half a year, STEAMobile organization was born.
The STEAM in our mobile stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art-Architecture-Agriculture, and Math. Through our enrichment environment and programs, we practice and learn about STEAM concepts each project we do.

Manya started Apprenticing as a Sophomore at Eastlake High School. She is deeply interested in STEAM subjects and outreach, which she’s pursued through competitions, clubs and classes. Outside of STEAMobile, Manya is an avid reader that is always ready to discuss books! She also loves traveling, teaching, and learning about new topics, such as her favorite animal, the mantis shrimp. Manya also spends much of her time on the business organization DECA, where she has learned about public speaking, confidence, and the importance of taking initiative.
In the future, Manya plans to study computer science at a university, get an MBA, and eventually own her own business. Now, Manya aims to utilize her position as a STEAMobile Apprentice and Co-Founder to further her mission of creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment that supports every young maker.

Vaishnavi started Apprenticing as a Sophomore at Redmond High School. STEM has been a huge part of her life since a young age in her education, and she's eager to spread the same knowledge to her local community! In her free time, Vaishnavi can be found singing, working on writing books, or cooking. Her goal has always been to analyze the STEM aspect of all activities and understand the world around her as a scientist. Singing, on the other hand, has been a formulative step in her life from the age of 5, and a way to hold a piece of her Indian culture with herself. After high school graduation, Vaishnavi hopes to study medicine or biomedical engineering. Hopefully, she would be able to also earn an MBA. Eventually, she hopes to philanthropically make an impact on STEM education accessibility in the world, and be a pioneer in the integration of AI and biomedical engineering.
